  1. Splatter Tool for ArtWorks
  2. --------------------------

  4. This freeware tool for ArtWorks was written by Richard Millican
  5. while he worked for Computer Concepts/Xara. This is a modified
  6. version with replacement sprites, but the original version can
  7. be found on the CC website at

  10. The original sprites are still present in this release, renamed
  11. as !SpritesX and SpritesX inside the application directory, in
  12. case you wish to use them instead.

  14. Full documentation is provided in the !Help file inside the
  15. application directory. However, note the following points:
  16.  
  17. 1) There is a bug which means that the pointer does not change
  18.    as it should to show that the Splatter tool is selected. The
  19.    author is aware of this and hopes to rectify it at some time
  20.    in the future.
  21. 2) The tool works very acceptably on a StrongARM machine but
  22.    may seem less responsive on slower processors.
  23. 3) If you already have the tool and wish to use the replacement
  24.    sprites, you can copy them over the original versions. If you
  25.    load ArtWorks with the Quick-start option selected, however,
  26.    you must disable it, quit and re-load ArtWorks before the new
  27.    sprites will be used. You may then re-enable the Quick-start
  28.    option.
